We stock valve tag chains in four materials to suit different environments and budgets. Mild steel is the cost-effective choice for indoor or dry applications. Brass offers a smart, corrosion-resistant option for environments where appearance matters as much as function, while brass chrome plated adds an extra layer of protection and a clean finish. For the most demanding conditions - high humidity, chemical exposure, or outdoor installations - stainless steel is the clear choice. Our stainless valve tag chains resist rust and industrial wear, maintaining their integrity even in harsh plant environments.
All chains are supplied in the beaded ball chain style, which is the industry standard for valve tagging. The interlocking ball design allows the chain to pass through tag holes cleanly and connect securely using the included connector, preventing tags from coming loose. Each option is available in two lengths - 100mm (4") and 150mm (6") - with three wire diameters: No.3 (2.4mm), No.6 (3.2mm), and No.10 (4.5mm). Whether you need a lightweight chain for small identification tags or a heavier gauge for larger assets, there's a specification to match.
Chains are sold in bags of 10, making it straightforward to stock up for maintenance programmes, new installations, or ongoing facility management. They pair directly with standard valve tags and identification discs used across manufacturing, water treatment, oil and gas, HVAC, and general engineering.
